Everybody knows that skateboarding was invented by Bart Simpson all those years ago, that’s just common knowledge. Since then we’ve seen the sport immortalised in songs by Lupe Fiasco and most notably OPM, who claimed that “heaven is a half pipe” and not merely just a figment of many idiotic peoples imagines.
Now if you’re going to take the advice you could simply wait until you die to experience a half pipe, however the much less morose option is to simply wait a few weeks until The Industry opens it’s doors in Sheffield. Located around 5 minutes from the city centre, the converted warehouse space boasts 2 large rooms of ramps & rails for both street and vert skaters, BMXers and…scooterers (although i’m not sure if scooters are a taboo subject in the extreme sports world).
